Green Lentils | Soaked | cup | 16 |
water | To soak lentils overnight | ||
Tumeric | tsp | 4 | |
Tomato Diced (canned) | cup | 8 | |
Frozen Spinach | Thawed | box | 4 |
Corriander Powder | tbsp | 12 | |
Cumin Powder | tbsp | 12 | |
Salt | tbsp | 6 | |
Cayenne Powder | tbsp | 4 | |
Garlinc (minced) | cup | 2 | |
Ginger (minced) | cup | 2 | |
Fresh cilantro (chopped) | cup | 3 | |
Lemon Juice | tbsp | 6 | |
Rinse and soak lentiils overnight. | |||
In a pot add oil and saute onions till well cooked and transcluscent. | |||
Add ginger and garlic, cook for 2 min. | |||
Add lentil, tmeric and water. Stir occassionaly till fully boiling. | |||
Reduce heat to low. Cover pot and simmer for 30 min until or until lentils are soft. | |||
Add water to achieve desired consistency. | |||
Add finely chopped cilantro and lemon juice. |
